H.B.&T.S. Utility District is a non profit public utility chartered specifically to serve and meet the needs of its customers for safe drinking water. Created in 1968, H.B.&T.S. is run by a board of commissioners. A General Manager is in place to run day to day operations and to serve as an advisor to the board.

- Minimum Bill : $15.54 (1,700 gallons)
- Water rate after minimum bill per thousand gallons,up to 8,000 : $5.86
- 8,001-20,000 gallons. $7.50 per thousand.
- Greater than 20,001 gallons. $9.50 per thousand. Existing Customer Transfer Fee: $20.00
- New Customer Connection Fee: $100.00

- Water comes from the Duck and Cumberland River.
- 370+ miles of water line.
- 7.2 Million Gallons of clean water storage capacity.
- Largest water main is 24" DI., smallest 2" PVC.
- Serving water to the Hillsboro (Leipers Fork), Burwood, Thompson Station, Franklin, Bethesda, Flat Creek and Kingfield areas of Williamson County, Tennessee.
